Courtney Smith is originally from Indiana. She moved to the east coast to complete her bachelor's degree in nursing from UNC and fell in love with the southeast. She and her husband, Ryan, moved to Charlottesville for his medical school training in 2003. Courtney has worked in pediatric nursing in many capacities; from inpatient pediatrics, to the clinic setting, to the operating room, specializing in pediatric surgery. Courtney was so fortunate to spend many years at home with her five children before returning back to work. She then completed her FNP degree from Frontier Nursing University and joined Piedmont Pediatrics. She is thrilled to be forming lasting relationships with families in Charlottesville and Crozet.
In her free time, she loves being outdoors with her children, running, competing in triathlons, working on her family's Christmas tree farm and participating in activities at church.
