Appointments
When you call to schedule an appointment, please let us know if your child has:
- An active COVID-19 infection (in the past 10 days) or recent exposure (in the last 10 days) to someone who has had COVID-19.
When you arrive for your appointment (please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete check-in):
- The waiting room is now open. If your child has active COVID-19 or a recent exposure to COVID-19 (in the last 10 days), please park and call us from your car.
- If your child has a current diagnosis of COVID-19 or a recent exposure to COVID-19, we will do the appointment check-in for your child via phone and most likely see your child outside in your car.
Please see below for more information on appointments.
Please Note: The Saturday appointment phone line opens at 8:30 AM for scheduling. The Sunday appointment phone line opens at 12:00 PM for scheduling.
Appointment Required
All office visits require an appointment except in the instance that you are coming in during our walk-in hours which begin at 8:00 AM at both the Charlottesville and Crozet locations. These walk-in appointments are first come, first served and if they are booked, we will do our best to schedule you in an available same-day sick appointment slot.
Non-Emergency Walk-Ins
Patients who plan to be seen for a walk-in appointment will be fit into the existing schedule as best as possible, or they will be asked to return later in the day when the schedule allows.
Sick Appointments
Please call our office to schedule a same-day sick appointment for your ill child. We will then schedule you into our first available time slot.
If you have a medical emergency, please dial 911.
Office Appointments
There are a variety of reasons you may need to bring your child in to be seen. Here is a list of those visits for reference:
- Sick Visits
- Well Child Checkups
- Non-emergency Injury Checks
- Behavior concerns/ADHD Evaluations
- Followups
- Walk-Ins
Virtual Visits/Telemedicine Appointments
Our virtual visits / telemedicine appointments began in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The cost for a virtual visit is similar to an in-person appointment. Copays and deductibles still apply and you may receive a bill for any balance that is not covered by your insurance.
- Prior to your virtual visit, a member of our front office team will send you an email with an appointment invitation.
- We call you to confirm that you have received the meeting invite, verify your address and insurance information, and collect any copays.
